there and back again

as it happens, i am succeeding in my quest to reread Harry Potter. now i'm on book 4! EPIC. this book is huge, though. i always forget how big it is. however, it's not like that is an obstacle--not in the slightest. the longer the book, the more fun it is.

okay, so that's not actually true. like, War and Peace? that book is freakin' huge, am i right? but it doesn't sound like very much fun. i digress.

i have decided i want to get married in Ireland. Isabel and i have been planning our weddings... she's getting hitched in Hawaii. this seems logical, does it not? that's a usual spot for matrimony. aside from the people who LIVE in Ireland, who gets married there?

well, the answer to that is ME. Ireland is the bomb. so is my COLOR SCHEME! grays, yellows, and greens. epic. Izzi also said that my flowergirl should be a fairy, and my ring bearer should be.... A LEPRECHAUN! haha! how awesome is that.

then Teia was like, "why do you guys have a bridal magazine?" and after scoffing profusely at her, we told her what we were doing. then she was like, "well, you don't even know who you're marrying yet." NOT THE POINT! so if you were going to comment on that, stow it. our husbands will just have to get over it. if they really protest, we can adjust a few things, but still--Ireland, am i right?

now Izzi and Kellen are in Florida. they're doing some kind of VBS thing, and they're gone all week, except this means... Izzi will be gone during the time that Harry Potter 6 comes out. it is a great tribute to our friendship that i'm waiting until she returns to see it. i mean, really. this is RIDICULOUS. i'm giving up the midnight showing! :O

also, next week Brennick and I are ditching for a Higher Things conference! it's my first one. i'm very excited. i will, of course, speak more about it after i... you know... go.

Keaton is in Oregon right now with his quartet, Augmented Fourth. they are coming here in a few weeks, but sadly, i will be at Higher Things :( so i'll miss it. but then he's leaving, and then coming home the week after! YES. win. i'm so excited.

so it turns out that that FREAKIN HUGE fish that temish caught is right now being all taste-ified by my mother dearest. she's putting lime juice on it, or something. it smells really, really good. but this means i must depart, for this laptop is chillin' on the table where the aforementioned fish will go when it is finished.

and don't be mad that i didn't once actually reference The Hobbit or Tolkien in this post. except for this apology.

i already used up my fridge magnet haiku quota for the day, and i was pretty bored. i already dinked around pointless on facebook, and other blogs, and on my mom's twitter, and i talked to my friends, and almost finished my mints... of which i have a whole collection...

then i realized how i must fill up my days, in honor of July 15th AND just because i want to. and the answer to my dilemma is..... TO REREAD HARRY POTTER! ALL OF THEM! for the second time.... this year. :D i am a fan.


and it seems that today's word is dilemma.

in the depths of boredom...

so i guess when i get really bored, i make fridge magnet haikus. can you beat that? somehow i think NOT.

1) it's the fourth of July! woo. it was a pretty uneventful day. i slept for most of it, because a bunch of my and brennick's friends came over and we stayed up ridiculously late... but we had fun. and then i fell asleep after they all left. then i watched fireworks... and came home. i like fireworks. Happy Independence Day!

2) you know what sucks? when your back hurts, and you really want a backrub, but there's no one to give you one. i slept all funny (haha, i told that to Sam and he asked, "why did you sleep FUNNY?" and i said, "yeah, i like to laugh while i'm unconscious." it was stupid. but funny. ha... ha.) and so my back hurts really badly around my shoulders. but you know what doesn't work at all? trying to give a backrub to yourself. it just doesn't work.

3) i love mint tea. i could drink it all day long... well, not literally.

4) it was another one earlier, but oh well.... word of the day: pariah.
